Exploring the forests

An amazing group of qualified people will guide you through the forests of the surrounding valley discussing the plants, animals, birds, and geological features of the region.

There will be walks and talks led by experts on birds, forest ecology, native Tasmanian plants, forest fungii, plant propagation and much more. Wild cave tours and a walk into the World Heritage Area will depart from the festival site.

There will be opportunities to explore ancient rain forest, see giant eucalypts and learn about forest succession processes from the valley floor to the alpine mountain tops.

Workshops at the Festival

A wide range of workshops will be held during the two days of the festival. There will be circus workshops for kids, conservation and ecology workshops for adults, yoga in the mornings and health and community interest topics covered during the days.
