The art installations are located on a beautiful meandering bush pathway leading through ferns, mosses and old and regrowth forest, on the foothills of Quamby Bluff in the beautiful Jackeys Marsh Valley – adjacent to the main festival site.

The Art Trail was a main feature of the Forest Festival and one of many activities and entertainment available to festival goers. The Art Trail will also remain open to the public for a further 5 weeks until mid March.

The Jackeys Marsh Art Trail builds on a smaller scale trial undertaken at the 2008 festival by local and regional artists, which was much appreciated by festival patrons.

Festivals Australia funding has allowed the Forest Art Trail to be expanded, and supported the artists to develop site responsive works for the project.

The Australian Government is proud to be associated with the 2010 Jackeys Marsh Forest Festival. The Forest Art Trail was made possible by Festivals Australia, an Australian Government program which supports cultural activity at regional and community festivals.

Guided tours of the Forest Art Trail were conducted by artists during the festival, and linked to visual arts workshops that featured in the Festival program.
